Ella lives in crumbling Hardup Hall with her well-meaning but bankrupt father, Baron Hardup. He marries the glamorous but greedy Madame Dubois, who moves in with her dreadful daughters, Barbie and Kendall.

When the Baroness discovers the Baron is broke and takes it out on Ella, making her the household skivvy. Meanwhile, the palace announces a grand ball to find a bride for Prince Charming, and though Ella dreams of going, but her stepmother and stepsisters have other plans.

Ella’s friends rally to support her and with little hope and a sprinkle of fairy dust, could Ella end up having a ball and living happily ever after?
