Robin of Loxley returns from the crusades to find Prince John scheming for the throne and Nottingham crushed by high taxes. The prince as appointed a new Sheriff, who is forcing villagers into outlaw life in Sherwood Forest.

He has seized Robin’s home and all his belongings so Robin joins forces with Little John and the merry men, training them to fight back and reclaim their freedom. Robin enters an archery contest to claim the prize and outwit the Sheriff, while stirring up trouble at every opportunity.

Along the way, he reunites with his childhood sweetheart, Marion, and befriends a magical woodland sprite. With the Sheriff plotting to marry Marion, Robin must win the contest, save the throne, and restore justice to Nottingham.
